Signature Sushi

Our Menu

Although Salushi continues to innovate and push boundaries, when it comes to the sushi offering, their remain a few dishes that have become synonymous with the Salushi brand, and are considered signature dishes.

These include Bon Bon gifts (pieces of salmon fashion sandwiches, topped with salmon, wrapped in seaweed and finished with Japanese mayo and caviar), the Rock ‘n Rolla ( pieces of rainbow roll, topped with a honey soy reduction and finished with tempura crackling and spring onion) as well as the Takky Tempura (pieces seared salmon California roll, topped with tempura prawn and finished with a citrus mayo).

The Salushi Heat, Smiley’s Smokey Sensation, Prince’s Prawn and Strawberry kisses are also firm favourites.

Taste Experience

& Bubbles

This is a new and innovative concept that is in line with Salushi pushing the creativity envelope and creating delicous and exciting Asian Cuisine..

We worked with an experienced certified sommelier to get this right.

This Is what he has to say about it:

“There are no right and wrong answers when it comes to pairing wine with food. The perfect pairing is one where both the food and the wine harmoniously bring out the best in each other. This is surprisingly difficult to do. Especially if you consider there are only five individual taste categories.

With the bubbly and sushi pairing we have taken a good stab at it. Using bubbles which is always fun, we have selected 5 South African Mcc’s that I feel strongly represent compliment or contrast the taste sensations and harmoniously bring out the best in both the food and the wine.

The four selected sensations are fresh, sweet, Umami and spicy. They are presented in that order, starting with the delicate subtle fresh flavors going first and the big and loud spicy flavors last. With the massive array of flavors to play around with, we did our best not to lose our minds and go crazy pairing milk chocolate and oysters.

We came up with the simple formula of using the same types of Sushi accompanied with flavorings that strongly represent the sensations. We also only use two types of fish. It thus makes it almost a blank canvas the additions and the bubbly are the art.

As we said at the beginning there are no right or wrong answers and the whole idea for this is to be interactive. Even People who do not really consider themselves foodies can get involved. The flavors are bold and distinct and anyone with taste buds can have an opinion.

We sincerely hope you enjoy our taste experience.”
